They leave because you know your authority in Christ and you’re ready to use it.

Why This Matters
The Bible doesn’t tip-toe around the reality of evil spirits. Jesus cast them out constantly. He gave His disciples authority to do the same. And He promised that same power to every believer who calls on His name.
Luke 10:19 declares, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” That’s not symbolic language. That’s legal jurisdiction in the spirit realm.
Evil spirits operate on assignment. They have names, ranks, and specific mandates. Some are spirits of fear. Others are spirits of infirmity, lust, anger, or poverty. They attach themselves to generational lines, traumatic events, or open doors created by sin and unforgiveness.
But here’s what they can’t survive: the name of Jesus and the blood of the Lamb.
Mark 16:17 says, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons.” Not might. Not maybe. Will.
When you pray against evil spirits, you’re not begging God to intervene. You’re enforcing what Jesus already accomplished at Calvary. You’re reminding hell that it has no legal right to your body, your mind, your family, or your future.
Demons know the law. They’re just banking on you not knowing it. That ends today.
The Main Power Prayer
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I come before You covered by the blood of the Lamb. I declare that I am redeemed, sanctified, and sealed by the Holy Spirit. Every evil spirit assigned to my life, my household, and my bloodline, I command you to leave NOW. You have no legal right to me. I am bought with a price. I am the property of the Most High God.
I bind every spirit of fear, oppression, infirmity, lust, anger, confusion, poverty, and death. I bind every familiar spirit, ancestral demon, and territorial principality. I command you to loose your hold on my mind, my body, my emotions, my finances, and my relationships. I cut every ungodly soul tie and sever every demonic covenant. I break every curse, hex, vex, and spell spoken against me. I nullify every witchcraft assignment and occult ritual performed in the spirit realm.
Holy Spirit, fill every place the enemy has vacated. Seal my atmosphere with the fire of God. Station Your warring angels at every entrance to my home. Let no unclean spirit cross the threshold. Let the blood of Jesus be a barrier they cannot penetrate.
I declare Psalm 91 over my life. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High. I abide under the shadow of the Almighty. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. No plague shall come near my dwelling. I am hidden in Christ. I am surrounded by favor as with a shield.
Devil, you are a defeated foe. You have no authority here. In Jesus’ name, I evict you, I silence you, and I command you to go where Jesus sends you. Never to return. It is finished. It is done. Amen.

Prayer 1 , Based on James 4:7
Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Father, I submit every area of my life to Your lordship. I surrender my will, my thoughts, my past, and my future. I resist the devil in Jesus’ name. I take authority over every evil spirit that has been harassing me. I command you to flee. You have no choice. The Word says you WILL flee. I enforce that Word right now. Go. In Jesus’ name.
Prayer 2 , Based on Ephesians 6:12
We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Father, I recognize this is not a human battle. I’m not fighting my spouse, my boss, or my neighbor. I’m fighting the demonic forces operating through them. I put on the full armor of God. I take the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, and I cut down every principality assigned to my life. I cancel their assignments. I destroy their altars. I dismantle their networks. In Jesus’ name.
Prayer 3 , Based on 1 John 4:4
Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Holy Spirit, You are greater than every demon, every principality, every satanic prince. You are the Creator. They are created beings. You are omnipotent. They are limited. I declare that the greater One lives in me. I am not weak. I am not defenseless. I carry the power that raised Christ from the dead. Every evil spirit must bow at that power. I command you to bow now. Release me. Leave my home. Depart from my family. In Jesus’ name.
Prayer 4 , Based on Psalm 34:7
The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Father, I fear You. I reverence You. I honor You as Lord. Because of that covenant relationship, You station Your angels around me as a military encampment. I call those angels to attention right now. Surround my home. Guard my children. Escort me as I travel. Defend me while I sleep. Deliver me from every evil spirit that tries to breach the perimeter. Let no weapon formed against me prosper.
Prayer 5 , Based on Colossians 2:15
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Jesus, You already defeated every demon at the cross. You stripped them of their weapons. You humiliated them publicly in the spirit realm. I stand on that finished work. I declare that every evil spirit attacking me is already defeated. I’m not fighting for victory. I’m fighting FROM victory. I enforce the triumph of Calvary over my life right now. Every demon assigned to me is disarmed, defeated, and dismissed. In Jesus’ name.
Prayer 6 , Based on Isaiah 54:17
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. Father, I take this promise as my shield. Every witchcraft weapon fashioned against me, curses, hexes, spells, incantations, I declare them null and void. They will not prosper. They will not land. They will backfire on the sender. Every lying tongue that has spoken death, failure, sickness, and poverty over me, I condemn those words. I silence those voices. I command those assignments to fall to the ground powerless. Prayer 7 , Based on 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Father, I wield spiritual weapons today. I pull down the stronghold of fear in my mind. I cast down the lying arguments the enemy has planted. I demolish every thought pattern that contradicts Your Word. I take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. I evict every evil spirit hiding in my thought life. My mind belongs to Jesus.
Prayer 8 , Based on Revelation 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Devil, I overcome you by the blood of Jesus. That blood speaks better things than the blood of Abel. It speaks mercy, redemption, and total victory. I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, my body, my home, my family, and my future. I testify that Jesus is Lord. He died for me. He rose for me. He lives in me. And because of that testimony, you have no legal claim. I am covered. I am protected. I am victorious. In Jesus’ name.

When You Feel a Demonic Presence in Your Home
Father, I sense an unclean presence in my house. I refuse to live in fear. I take authority over every evil spirit lurking in my dwelling. In the name of Jesus, I command you to leave NOW. You are trespassing on covenant ground. This home belongs to God. It is consecrated by the blood of Jesus. I walk through every room and declare it sanctified. I bind you in Jesus’ name. I cancel every demonic visitation. I sever every astral projection and witchcraft invasion of my dreams. I decree that my sleep is sweet and my rest is undisturbed. Father, I stand in the gap for my loved one. I see the signs of demonic oppression, the rage, the confusion, the self-destruction. I refuse to give up. I take authority over every evil spirit tormenting them. Spirit of anger, spirit of suicide, spirit of addiction, I bind you in Jesus’ name. I command you to loose your hold. I break every generational curse and every ungodly soul tie. I plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, their emotions, their will. Holy Spirit, convict them. Draw them to repentance. Father, someone has spoken evil against me. I feel the weight of their words. But I am not a victim. I am a child of the King. I break every curse, hex, vex, and spell spoken over my life. I nullify every witchcraft prayer and occult ritual performed against me. I command every demon assigned through those words to return to the sender sevenfold. I refuse to retaliate in the flesh. When You’re Experiencing Physical Symptoms of Demonic Harassment
Jesus, I recognize that not all sickness is demonic, but this is. I discern the spirit of infirmity operating in my body. I command you to leave NOW. You have no right to my physical temple. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It is not a playground for demons. I take authority over every spirit of pain, fatigue, and disease. I bind you in Jesus’ name. I speak healing and restoration over every cell, every organ, every system. I declare that by the stripes of Jesus, I am healed. I plead the blood of Jesus over my body from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. I decree that I will live and not die. I will declare the works of the Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Practical Steps to Activate This Prayer
1. Conduct a Spiritual Audit of Your Home
Walk through every room of your house with anointing oil and the Word of God. Look for objects that could be portals for evil spirits: occult books, idols, ancestral shrines, ungodly artwork, or items from past relationships. Remove them. Burn them if necessary. Anoint every doorframe, every window, every mirror. Declare each room sanctified and sealed by the blood of Jesus.
2. Break Ungodly Soul Ties and Covenants
Evil spirits often gain access through sexual sin, witchcraft involvement, or unholy alliances. Write down every ungodly relationship, every occult practice, every covenant you’ve made outside of Christ. Confess them as sin. Renounce them out loud. Command every demon attached to those agreements to leave. Ask the Holy Spirit to sever those ties and fill the void with His presence.
3. Fast and Pray for Breakthrough
Some demons don’t leave without fasting and prayer (Matthew 17:21). If you’ve been battling the same spirit for months, it’s time to escalate. Set aside a day or three days to fast and focus on this battle. No food, just water and the Word. Spend extended time in worship, scripture reading, and spiritual warfare prayer. Starve the flesh, strengthen the spirit, and watch the enemy flee.
4. Speak the Word Out Loud Daily
Demons are legalists. They operate on legal ground. When you declare scripture over your life, you’re pulling their legal paperwork. Read Psalm 91 out loud every morning. Declare Ephesians 6:10-18 over yourself. Speak the name of Jesus repeatedly throughout the day. The enemy can’t stand the sound of that name. It torments him. Use it as a weapon.
5. Guard Your Gates
Your eyes, ears, and mouth are gates to your spirit. What you watch, listen to, and speak determines what spirits have access to you. Stop watching horror movies. Stop listening to music that glorifies darkness. Stop speaking death and defeat over yourself. Guard your gates fiercely. Let only the holy, the pure, and the life-giving enter.
6. Get Deliverance Ministry if Needed
If you’ve tried everything and the spirits won’t leave, you may need a trained deliverance minister to help you. There’s no shame in that. Jesus cast out demons for people who couldn’t do it themselves. Find a biblically sound deliverance ministry in your area. Submit to the process. Be honest about your struggles. Let them help you close every open door and evict every squatter.
7. Stay Filled with the Holy Spirit
A house swept clean but left empty will be re-invaded by seven worse spirits (Matthew 12:43-45). Once you’ve evicted the demons, you must stay filled with the Holy Spirit. Worship daily. Pray in tongues. Read the Word. Serve in ministry. Stay connected to a strong church. The fullness of the Spirit is your best defense against re-infestation.
Biblical Examples
The Gerasene Demoniac (Mark 5:1-20)
A man possessed by a legion of demons lived among the tombs, cutting himself and crying out day and night. No one could bind him. He was too strong. But when Jesus showed up, the demons had to bow. They begged Jesus not to torment them. They knew their time was up. Jesus commanded them to leave, and the man was instantly delivered. He went from raving lunatic to sitting clothed and in his right mind. That’s the power of a word from Jesus. One command. One moment. Total freedom.
The Mute and Blind Demoniac (Matthew 12:22)
They brought Jesus a man who was demon-possessed, blind, and mute. The demons had stolen his sight and his voice. But Jesus healed him, and immediately he could see and speak. The Pharisees tried to credit the deliverance to Beelzebub, but Jesus shut that down fast. He made it clear: a house divided against itself cannot stand. Satan doesn’t cast out Satan. This was the kingdom of God crashing into the kingdom of darkness. And darkness lost.
Paul and the Slave Girl (Acts 16:16-18)
A slave girl with a spirit of divination followed Paul and Silas for days, shouting about them. She was speaking truth, but it was demonic truth. Paul got fed up. He turned and commanded the spirit to come out of her in the name of Jesus. And it left that very hour. Notice Paul didn’t debate the demon. He didn’t negotiate. He didn’t perform a ritual. He spoke with authority, and the demon had no choice but to obey.
