Devotional: The Curtain Is Already Open

There was a moment in history when the veil in the temple tore, not from the bottom up as a person would tear it, but from the top down, because God did it. That was not a footnote. That was an announcement.

You may have moved through today feeling unworthy of much: unworthy of rest, unworthy of peace, maybe even unworthy of a conversation with God at the end of it all. That feeling is familiar. It is also not the truth.

Hebrews 10:19 puts it plainly: “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus.” Not after you clean yourself up. Not once you earn enough quiet time.
