Most of us were never taught what to do in that place. We were told to try harder, hold it together, push through. So we do. And then we hit the wall again, only thinner this time.

But 2 Corinthians 12:9 does not locate God’s power at the place where you have it all together. It locates it precisely at the place where you do not. Paul writes: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is being perfected and is completed and shows itself most effectively in your weakness.” That word “perfected” in the Amplified carries the idea of something coming to its full expression. God’s power does not just tolerate your weakness. It is fully expressed through it.

Today, you do not need to summon more strength before you pray. You need to arrive honest, and let grace do what only grace can do.
