If Christ is a physician, if He calls himself Jehovah Rapha, if He promises to heal the wounds and griefs of sufferers, then why do we suffer currently? Surely the healing He promises must be on its way, if it hasn't already arrived. Maybe that's just the nature of living life in Christ; to bear sorrows, bent-backed and teary-eyed and expectant and hopeful (or with gritted teeth and bitter grousing, if you're me), before their subsequent healing, over and over and over again.
