When the earth trembles beneath your feet, every certainty you once held seems to crumble in an instant. The recent earthquake in Iloilo has shaken not just buildings and roads, but the very foundations of thousands of lives across the region.
In moments like these, when fear grips hearts and uncertainty clouds tomorrow, prayer becomes the anchor that holds. Psalm 46:1-2 declares: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.
These words were written for such a time as this. When natural disasters strike, God does not abandon His people. He remains close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
The following prayers are written specifically for the earthquake survivors in Iloilo, their families, the rescue workers, and all who are walking through this valley of uncertainty. Each prayer addresses different aspects of this crisis, from immediate physical needs to deep emotional healing.
