You need a prayer to break porn addiction that doesn’t just manage symptoms but shatters the stronghold at its root. Whether you’ve been trapped for months or decades, whether you’ve tried accountability software, counseling, or sheer willpower and still fall back into the cycle, these biblical deliverance prayers command the demonic structure behind pornography to collapse and release you into total freedom and purity in Christ.
The shame whispers that you’re the only one.
The enemy says you’ll never be free.
But God says different.
This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about praying with the authority Jesus gave you to bind, to loose, to command, and to decree. Pornography is not just a habit. It’s a spiritual assignment designed to steal your intimacy with God, destroy your relationships, rewire your brain, and disqualify you from your destiny. That assignment ends today.
The battlefield is your mind. The weapon is the Word. And the victory is already legally yours through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Why Prayer To Break Porn Addiction Matters
Pornography operates on three levels simultaneously: spiritual bondage, mental rewiring, and relational destruction. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” This isn’t metaphorical. Sexual sin creates soul ties, opens demonic doors, and literally alters brain chemistry to crave more of what’s destroying you.
The spirit behind pornography is lust, and lust’s endgame is death. James 1:14-15 warns, “Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.” Death of your marriage. Death of your ministry. Death of your peace. Death of your confidence before God.
But here’s the authority you carry: Romans 6:14 declares, “Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” That means pornography has no legal right to rule your life. Every chain can be broken. Every pattern can be interrupted. Every demonic assignment can be canceled.
Jesus didn’t die so you could live in cycles of sin and repentance. He died so you could walk in total freedom. 2 Corinthians 5:17 promises, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” That includes every neural pathway carved by porn, every soul tie forged in fantasy, and every demonic covenant signed in secret sin.
This prayer isn’t a formula. It’s a weapon. And you’re about to use it.

The Main Power Prayer
Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, breaking every chain of pornography and sexual addiction over my life. I repent for every image I chose to look at, every fantasy I entertained, every moment I traded intimacy with You for counterfeit pleasure. I renounce lust as my lord and declare that Jesus Christ alone is Lord over my eyes, my mind, my body, and my desires.
I command every demonic spirit assigned to fuel this addiction, spirit of lust, spirit of perversion, spirit of fantasy, spirit of shame, to release me now and leave, never to return. I bind you in the name of Jesus and loose myself from every soul tie formed through pornography. I break every covenant I made with darkness through repeated sin. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to derail my destiny, destroy my relationships, and disqualify me from ministry.
By the blood of Jesus, I cleanse my mind, my imagination, and my memory. I declare Philippians 4:8 over my thought life: “Whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report, I think on these things.” I command my brain to be rewired according to the mind of Christ. I speak Romans 12:2 over myself: I am transformed by the renewing of my mind, and I prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Holy Spirit, fill every space that lust occupied. Restore my purity. Rebuild my self-control. Give me a holy hatred for what dishonors You and a holy hunger for righteousness. I receive total freedom, total healing, and total victory right now.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Scripture Prayers
Prayer 1 , Based on Psalm 51:10
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Father, I ask You to do what I cannot do for myself: create in me a brand-new heart that hates sin and loves purity. Renew my spirit so that I am steadfast, unmovable, and unwilling to compromise. Delete every corrupted file in my imagination. Purge every fantasy that dishonors You. I don’t want a patched-up version of who I was; I want a total recreation. Make me new from the inside out, and let my desires align perfectly with Yours.
Prayer 2 , Based on Job 31:1
“I have made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a young woman?”
Lord, I make a covenant with my eyes today. I will not use them as doorways for lust. I cancel every agreement I made with visual temptation. I command my eyes to serve righteousness, to honor people as image-bearers of God, and to reject every image designed to arouse what You forbid. My eyes are Yours. My gaze is holy. And I will guard what I see as fiercely as I guard my relationship with You.
Prayer 3 , Based on 1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
God, I receive Your promise that I will never face a temptation I cannot overcome. You have already provided a way of escape for every scenario, every trigger, and every weak moment. Open my eyes to see the exit door before I step into the trap. Strengthen me to run when the enemy whispers “just one more time.” I am not a victim of my desires. I am empowered by Your Spirit to choose righteousness every single time.
Prayer 4 , Based on Galatians 5:16
“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Holy Spirit, teach me how to walk in step with You so closely that lust has no room to breathe. When I’m walking in Your presence, reading Your Word, worshiping, and praying, the desires of my flesh lose their power. I commit to spending more time with You than I ever spent feeding my addiction. Fill me so completely that there’s no hunger left for what used to control me.
Prayer 5 , Based on 2 Timothy 2:22
“Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”
Lord, I declare that I will run from lust with the same urgency I would run from a lion. I will not negotiate, flirt with boundaries, or test my willpower. I will flee. And I will run toward righteousness, faith, love, and peace. Surround me with brothers and sisters who call on You with pure hearts. Let me build my life in community, accountability, and transparency so the enemy has no isolated corner to ambush me.
Prayer 6 , Based on Romans 13:14
“Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
Father, I put on Jesus Christ like armor. I clothe myself in His righteousness, His purity, His strength, and His victory. I refuse to make any provision for my flesh, no secret browser tabs, no late-night scrolling, no “just in case” excuses. I burn every bridge back to bondage. I delete every app, block every site, and remove every access point. I am cutting off the supply line to my sin, and I’m never going back.
Prayer 7 , Based on Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Jesus, I declare that I can live free from pornography because You strengthen me. This isn’t about my willpower or my discipline. This is about Your power working in me. When I’m weak, You’re strong. When I’m tempted, You’re my shield. When I fall, You lift me back up and give me grace to keep going. I can do this, not because I’m capable, but because You are faithful.
Prayer 8 , Based on 1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Lord, I confess every moment I chose pornography over purity. I bring it into the light, and I refuse to hide in shame. You are faithful to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I receive Your forgiveness right now. I refuse the enemy’s accusations. I am washed. I am clean. I am free. And I will walk in that freedom from this moment forward.

Prayers for Specific Situations
When Triggered by Stress or Loneliness
Father, I recognize this familiar pull. Stress is rising, loneliness is whispering, and my brain is reaching for the old escape route. But I refuse to medicate pain with sin. I bring my stress to You. I bring my loneliness to You. I ask You to meet me here, to fill the emptiness that pornography falsely promised to fill. Remind me that You are near, that You care, and that running to You will always satisfy me more than running to sin. Give me a healthier outlet, worship, exercise, a phone call to a friend, and break the automatic connection between negative emotion and sexual sin. I choose You over the counterfeit. In Jesus’ name.
When Facing a Strong Urge Late at Night
Lord, it’s late, I’m tired, and my defenses are low. The enemy knows this is when I’m most vulnerable. But I call on Your name right now. I command every spirit of lust to leave my room, leave my mind, and leave my body. I declare Psalm 91:5 over myself: “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night.” I refuse to negotiate with this urge. I will get up, turn on the lights, read Scripture aloud, worship, or call my accountability partner. I will not give the enemy one inch. Holy Spirit, flood my room with Your presence and drive out every unclean thing. I choose sleep over sin, rest over regret.
After a Relapse
God, I fell again. The shame is crushing, and the enemy is screaming that I’ll never be free. But I refuse to agree with his lies. I bring this failure into the light right now. I confess it. I receive Your forgiveness. And I get back up. Romans 8:1 says there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I refuse condemnation. I refuse to spiral. I refuse to quit. This relapse does not define me. Your grace does. I ask You to show me what led to this fall, what trigger I missed, what boundary I ignored, and I commit to closing that door. I’m not starting over. I’m continuing forward, wiser and stronger than before.
When Tempted to Justify “Just a Little”
Father, the enemy is whispering that a “small” compromise won’t hurt. A lingering look. A suggestive scene in a movie. A social media account I know I shouldn’t follow. But I know how this works. Sin never stays small. James 1:15 says, “When desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.” I will not plant seeds I don’t want to harvest. I cut off this temptation at the root. I delete, block, unfollow, and walk away. Purity isn’t about managing sin; it’s about eliminating access. I choose radical obedience over convenient compromise.
When Rebuilding Trust in a Relationship
Lord, my addiction hurt people I love. My spouse, my family, my friends, they’re wounded because of my choices, and rebuilding trust feels impossible. But You specialize in the impossible. I commit to total transparency, total accountability, and total humility. I will not hide, minimize, or make excuses. I will let my actions prove what my words promise. Give me patience to earn back trust one day at a time. Give them grace to heal at their own pace. And let this season of rebuilding become a testimony of Your power to restore what sin destroyed. I trust You to heal what I broke.

Practical Steps to Activate This Prayer
1. Install Accountability Software Today Don’t wait. Install Covenant Eyes, Ever Accountable, or similar software on every device you own. Give the reports to someone you trust, a pastor, mentor, or friend who will ask hard questions and won’t let you hide.
2. Delete Every Access Point Delete apps, block websites, cancel subscriptions, and unfollow accounts that trigger you. Make accessing pornography as difficult as possible. Your future self will thank you for removing the easy路 back to bondage.
3. Build a Morning Routine Anchored in Scripture Start every day in the Word before you touch your phone. Let God’s truth set the tone for your thought life. Psalm 119:11 says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” Fill your mind with Scripture so there’s no room for lust.
4. Find an Accountability Partner Isolation is the enemy’s playground. Find one person you can text when you’re struggling, confess to when you fall, and celebrate with when you win. James 5:16 says, “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”
5. Replace the Habit with a Healthy One Identify what triggers your urges, stress, boredom, loneliness, and build a new response. Go for a run, call a friend, worship aloud, or journal. Break the neural pathway that links trigger to sin.
6. Pray This Prayer Out Loud Every Morning for 21 Days Speak the deliverance prayers for addiction aloud. Demons flee when you decree freedom. Your brain rewires when you declare truth. Make this a non-negotiable daily practice.
7. Get Professional Christian Counseling if Needed If pornography is rooted in trauma, shame, or unhealed wounds, talk to a licensed Christian counselor. There’s no shame in getting help. Healing is a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone.
Biblical Examples
Joseph and Potiphar’s Wife (Genesis 39) When Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce Joseph, he didn’t negotiate, rationalize, or test his willpower. He ran. Genesis 39:12 says, “He left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.” Joseph valued purity more than convenience, reputation, or career. His immediate obedience to flee sexual temptation positioned him to become second-in-command of Egypt. Your obedience today is positioning you for the destiny the enemy is trying to steal.
David’s Rooftop Mistake (2 Samuel 11) David’s pornography problem started with a second look. 2 Samuel 11:2 says, “He saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold.” He didn’t turn away. That lingering gaze led to adultery, murder, and consequences that haunted his family for generations. The lesson? Cut off lust at the first glance. Don’t negotiate with temptation. The cost of “just one look” is always higher than you think.
Paul’s Declaration of Victory (1 Corinthians 9:27) Paul said, “I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.” Paul understood that ministry, calling, and destiny are all forfeited when we refuse to steward our bodies with discipline. He didn’t coast on grace; he fought for purity. And he won. You can too.
