Open My Eyes to Your Word

Today's Scripture

"Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law." (Psalm 119:18, NKJV)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Before you pray, still yourself. Lay down the noise of the day. Confess anything that needs clearing, receive His forgiveness freely given through Christ, and come grateful, because a thankful heart is a ready heart.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You at the close of this day with a grateful heart. You are the Father of lights, and every good and perfect gift comes down from You (James 1:17, NKJV). I worship You as the one whose Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105, NKJV).

Prayer for the Night

Lord, as this day closes, I pray the prayer of Your servant David: open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law (Psalm 119:18, NKJV). Where I have read and not yet received, illuminate. Where I have heard and not yet understood, make plain.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift those who are walking in confusion tonight, those who know You but cannot yet see clearly in a situation they are carrying. Open their eyes as well, for You show no partiality and Your counsel belongs to all who ask (James 1:5, NKJV).
