Praying Without Ceasing

Today's Scripture

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 (CSB): "Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in everything, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Daily Spiritual Posture

Before praying, set down whatever you are carrying. Confess any sin quietly before God, receive His forgiveness through Christ, and offer Him thanks for one specific thing from the past twenty-four hours. You are not approaching a distant throne.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with thanksgiving as the gateway, just as Your Word instructs in Psalm 100:4 (CSB): "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise." I thank You that You are near, that You hear, and that nothing about this day surprises You.

Prayer of the Day

Lord, teach me to pray continually and to bring every need before You with thanksgiving in every circumstance, trusting that this is Your will for me in Christ Jesus. Your Word in 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 (CSB) is not a burden. It is an invitation, and I receive it today.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift before You every person I know who has stopped praying because the silence felt too long. Your Word says the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power (James 5:16, NLT). I stand in the gap for them today.

Let prayer become daily.
