Called by Grace Before Time Began

Today's Scripture

"He has saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time." (2 Timothy 1:9, NIV)

Daily Spiritual Posture

Before you pray, set down what you were carrying. Take one breath and remember that you approach God seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), not standing trial before Him. You are not a petitioner hoping to be heard.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with thanksgiving, not because my week has been perfect, but because You are. Your mercies are new this morning and Your faithfulness is great (Lamentations 3:22-23, NIV).

Prayer of the Day

Father, I press on today in the confidence that You called me not because of my own works but by Your own purpose and grace, given to me before time began (2 Timothy 1:9, AMP). That truth is my foundation this morning. My standing does not rise and fall with my performance.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift before You every person today who has forgotten they are called. Remind them that their worth does not come from their output but from Your purpose established before time.
