There are seasons when our dreams feel like scattered bones, dry, silent, and far from the life they once held. Today’s Open Heaven devotional, written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, invites us to lift our eyes toward the One whose breath alone turns desolation into destiny. If you are carrying a stalled vision, a weary heart, or a situation that has gone cold, this word is for you. Come expecting heaven to exhale over everything that concerns you.

Memory verse: Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: – Ezekiel 37:5 (KJV)
In John 20:19-22, the Bible tells us that when Jesus visited His disciples, He breathed on them. When God visits a person, He breathes on him or her. Adam was a lifeless lump of clay until God breathed on him in Genesis 2:7. When the breath of God went into him, he became a living being. The once lifeless creature came alive and began to walk around, talk, and even name animals. A person will remain ordinary until God breathes life into him or her. Likewise, the breath of God on a lifeless project will bring it to life, and it will eventually become successful. I pray in the name that is above every other name that God will breathe upon you and all that concerns you.
In Ezekiel 37:1-10, the Bible tells us that Prophet Ezekiel found himself in the middle of a valley that was full of bones. The bones were not just many, they were also very dry and lifeless. They would have continued experiencing dryness and death if God had not intervened. He sent His word through the prophet and breathed upon them. As soon as the breath of the Almighty God came upon them, they came together, flesh and sinews came upon them, and they arose as a great army. The bones that had previously looked dry and powerless now became a mighty and formidable force because of the breath of God. I decree that every dry or dead situation in your life will begin to live again henceforth, in Jesus’ name.
Many people have visions of something great they want to achieve, and even though they have tried to pursue those visions, things have not gone as they expected. As a result, many of those visions have been abandoned and forgotten. Today’s Bible reading tells us that when the Israelites returned to Jerusalem to build the temple in Zerubabbel’s time, they faced opposition from their neighbours, and at one point they even had to put the construction on hold (Ezra 4:24). The situation remained the same until God sent His prophets, Haggai and Zechariah, to prophesy to the people. Their prophecy released the breath of God upon them, and the work that had been halted resumed and was completed successfully.
Beloved, I decree that God will breathe into your life, family, career, visions, and all that concerns you, in Jesus’ name.

These Open Heaven prayer points for today are original PrayerPrompt content, declarations and a reflection to turn today’s message into prayer.
Prayer Points
- Lord, just as You formed Adam and filled him with living breath, breathe fresh purpose into every area of my life that has grown stagnant or routine.
- Father, I lift every vision and dream You placed in my heart that I have set aside, visit each one with Your life-giving presence and restore the momentum I have lost.
- God of Ezekiel, speak to the dry and scattered places in my family, my career, and my health; let Your word gather what has been broken and make it whole again.
- Lord, send the spirit of prophecy over every project I am building; let divine reinforcement come so that opposition yields and progress resumes.
- Holy Spirit, breathe into my relationships, marriages, friendships, and ministry partnerships, that have grown cold, and ignite them with renewed love and purpose.
- Father, wherever I have faced resistance that has caused me to pause or retreat, release Your breath of courage and open doors that no opposition can shut.
- Lord, breathe on the next generation connected to my life, my children, my community, and those I mentor, so they arise as a generation of strength and testimony.
- God, let every prayer I have prayed that still awaits an answer be quickened by Your breath today; let the answer live and come forth in its fullness, in Jesus' name.
Declarations
- I am not defined by seasons of delay; the breath of God is reviving every dormant promise in my life right now.
- My visions are not dead, they are waiting for the wind of God, and that wind is blowing over them today.
- I declare that every dry situation in my family and career is receiving divine life, and what was lifeless is rising into its God-ordained purpose.
- I am empowered by the same Spirit who raised dry bones into a mighty army; no opposition can permanently halt what God has commissioned me to build.
- The breath of the Almighty rests on me, and I carry His life-giving presence wherever I go.
Reflection
Take a quiet moment today to identify one specific vision, relationship, or responsibility you have quietly shelved because progress stalled. Write it down, speak God’s promise over it aloud, and resist the temptation to measure its potential by its current condition. The same God who finished Zerubbabel’s temple after years of stoppage is not intimidated by your timeline, He is simply waiting for you to invite His breath back into the equation.
