Memory verse: Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; – Psalm 30:11 (KJV)
Sometime ago, I was praying during a programme and God said, “Open your eyes.” I was almost going to say, “Lord, but I’m praying”; however, I obeyed. As I opened my eyes, I saw a woman in the congregation, her face soaked in tears, weeping as she prayed. Then, God said, “Go and tell her, ‘Weep not.” I moved towards the congregation, approached her, and tapped her as I said, “God said, ‘Weep not.” Her eyes brightened, and I returned to the altar to continue praying. A year later, that same woman stood before me, along with some other people who wanted me to pray for them. When it was her turn for me to pray for her, I greeted her and said, “Sister, how can I help you?” She opened her mouth and could only mutter, “Jesus”. I asked her a second time how I could help her, and she only said, “Jesus” again. I asked her a third time, and she said the same thing. I began to get impatient because there were other people in the queue. Eventually, she got herself together, and she told me that she was the woman whom God sent me to tell not to weep the previous year. She then told me that she was crying that day because she had been married for over ten years without any children, and her husband’s relatives were urging him to send her packing if she didn’t give birth to any children soon. As she shared her story, I immediately understood why she found it difficult to speak at first; she was holding a baby in her right hand and another in her left. God turned her seemingly hopeless situation into an occasion for rejoicing. I pray that God will turn any seemingly hopeless situation that might exist in your life around and fill your mouth with laughter, in Jesus’ name.
Beloved, if you have surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, my Daddy is saying to you today, “Weep not,” just like Jesus said to the widow of Nain in today’s Bible reading. Every time Jesus says, “Weep not,” it is because He wants to perform a miracle. No matter how long you may have been weeping, your time of rejoicing has come. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy will surely come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). I decree that your days of rejoicing are here, in Jesus’ name.

Open Heaven Prayer Points for Today
These Open Heaven prayer points for today are original PrayerPrompt content, declarations and a reflection to turn today’s message into prayer.
Prayer Points
- Lord, You who turned water into wine and mourning into dancing, visit every area of my life where grief has overstayed its welcome and command a divine turnaround today.
- Father, just as You interrupted a funeral procession in Nain with resurrection power, interrupt every dead situation in my life with Your miracle-working hand.
- God of compassion, I bring before You every tear I have cried in secret, in waiting rooms, in the dark of night, and in quiet disappointment, and I ask You to let none of them go to waste.
- Lord, raise up intercessors and prophetic voices around me who will hear Your word on my behalf and boldly deliver it, just as You directed a messenger to speak life over a weeping woman.
- Father, where I have waited years for an answer and the pressure around me has grown unbearable, strengthen my faith to hold on until my morning of joy arrives.
- Holy Spirit, replace every garment of sorrow I have been wearing with a robe of praise, and let the joy You give me become my testimony before those who watched me weep.
- Lord Jesus, You said 'Weep not' before every miracle You performed, speak those same words over my situation today and let Your power confirm them with undeniable evidence.
- Heavenly Father, let the story of my life become a source of speechless wonder to others, may what You do for me leave people struggling to find words, overwhelmed by Your goodness.
Declarations
- I declare that my season of weeping is giving way to an era of rejoicing, because God's Word over my life cannot return void.
- I am not forgotten by God; He sees my tears, He knows my name, and He is actively working a miracle on my behalf even now.
- I declare that no hopeless label placed on my situation by circumstances, people, or time will stand, because the God who raises the dead has spoken life over me.
- Joy is not a distant possibility for me, it is my inheritance as a child of God, and I receive it fully by faith today.
- I declare that my testimony is already written in heaven, and when it manifests on earth, it will leave the mouths of onlookers full of praise to God.
Reflection
Take a moment today to identify one situation you have quietly given up on, perhaps you stopped praying about it because the silence felt like a no. God’s delay is not God’s denial. Write that situation down, pray over it with fresh expectation, and choose to release it back into the hands of the One who specializes in restoring what seemed irretrievably lost. Your willingness to hope again is itself an act of faith that God honors.
