Topic: Permeating Anointing

Bible reading: 2 Kings 13:21 (KJV)
Memory verse: The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. – Psalm 138:8 (KJV)
In Mark 8:22-25, Jesus spat on the eyes of a blind man, laid His hand on him and asked if he could see. The blind man looked up and said that he saw men as trees, walking. Someone else would have been content with this miracle- at least the blind man could now see. However, Jesus touched the man a second time, and he began to see properly. That is a good example of how the anointing is meant to flow through the life of the anointed.
Elisha was another fellow whom the anointing permeated every part of his life, such that even his dried bones still raised the dead, long after he had died. I have seen some anointed individuals build thriving ministries, but upon closer inspection of their lives, you will discover that other aspects of their lives are not experiencing the same level of growth. This ought not to be so.
Beloved, if you get anointed by God in one area of your life, and you notice that another area of your life is not flourishing as it should, please ask God for an all-round anointing that will permeate every area of your life. Do not be satisfied with being anointed in just one area of your life; seek that God’s anointing should permeate all areas of your life.
Many years ago, a man invited me to his home in Houston, Texas. After I left, he sat in the chair I occupied during my visit and prayed. Within a few days, he received the miracle he asked God for when he prayed. He told his friends what happened, and they all began to come to his house to sit on the same chair and pray. When they all received the miracles they asked God for, news spread quickly, and many more people began to visit the man’s home. The man became frustrated by the crowd of people, so he took the chair into his bedroom and placed an identical chair in its place. He thought that people would stop coming when they pray and do not receive any miracles. However, people continued to troop into his home, praying and receiving miracles. What the man didn’t know was that the anointing did not stop on the chair; it went right into the floor the chair was on.
Beloved, seek to be anointed by God and ask that the anointing should permeate every area of your life, in Jesus’ name.

Open Heaven Prayer Points for Today
These Open Heaven prayer points for today are original PrayerPrompt content, declarations and a reflection to turn today’s message into prayer.
Prayer Points
- Lord, let Your anointing refuse to stay confined to one area of my life, release it to flow freely into my health, my family, my finances, my ministry, and my mind.
- Father, wherever I have settled for a partial blessing and called it enough, awaken fresh hunger in me for the fullness You intend.
- Holy Spirit, identify every dry or neglected area of my life and saturate it with Your presence, just as You saturated Elisha's very bones with resurrection power.
- God, perfect everything that concerns me, not just the visible parts others celebrate, but the hidden areas that only You and I know need Your touch.
- Lord, wherever Your anointing has rested on my life, let it seep deeper, into my habits, my thoughts, my relationships, and my daily decisions.
- Father, guard me against the pride of partial growth; keep me humble enough to ask for more and faithful enough to steward what You release.
- Holy Spirit, let my very presence in a place carry Your tangible grace, not for my glory, but so that those around me encounter You through my life.
- Lord, let nothing I fear, nothing I own, and nothing I control become a barrier to the full permeation of Your anointing, have Your way in every room of my life.
Declarations
- I am not satisfied with an anointing that stops at the surface; God's power goes deep into every layer of who I am.
- The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me and brings life to every area, my body, my mind, my home, and my calling.
- I declare that God is perfecting all that concerns me, and His mercy is actively working in the places I cannot yet see.
- No part of my life is off-limits to God's transforming presence; His anointing permeates me wholly and completely.
- I walk in a comprehensive blessing, spiritually, physically, relationally, and financially, because God's power knows no boundary in my life.
Reflection
Take a quiet moment today to honestly map out the different dimensions of your life, your spiritual walk, your physical wellbeing, your relationships, your work, your thought life. Where do you see God’s hand clearly at work? Now notice where things feel stagnant or untouched. That gap is not a sign of God’s abandonment; it is an invitation to ask. The same God who anoints a ministry can anoint a marriage. The same Spirit who moves in a church service can move in a Monday morning meeting. Your one practical step today: bring that neglected area to God specifically and boldly, and ask Him to let His anointing flow there too.
