Bible reading: Acts 9:1-8 (KJV)
Memory verse: To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. – Luke 1:79 (KJV)
In today’s Bible reading, a man called Saul of Tarsus, who had been persecuting the Church of Christ, was on his way to Damascus to arrest Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem to be thrown into prison. On the way to Damascus, however, Jesus Christ appeared to him, and he experienced a divine redirection. He had been on the wrong path, persecuting Christians and God’s work on the earth, but God intercepted and redirected him, placing him on the right path. I pray that if you are currently going in the wrong direction in your life, the Almighty God will redirect you to the right path, in Jesus’ name.
Mary Magdalene was another person who experienced a divine redirection. In Luke 8:2, before she met Jesus, she was tormented by seven demons. One demon is enough to ruin a person’s life and destiny, but Mary had seven. Satan had planned the perfect plot to destroy her, but Jesus intervened and redirected her life. He delivered her, and she later became one of the first people to see Him after His resurrection. In John 20:13-18, she had a glorious encounter with the risen Lord, and she went to tell the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that He had spoken to her. A woman who was demon-possessed became a credible witness of the Lord. I pray that you will have a special divine encounter, and if you are on the wrong path in any area of your life, I decree that your steps shall be redirected aright, in Jesus’ name.
Some years ago, we held a crusade in Lagos, and one young man, who happened to be a member of a gang of highway robbers, came to the crusade venue with a revolver. However, God arrested him, and he gave his life to Jesus Christ and surrendered his gun. A few days later, every member of the gang was killed during a robbery operation. Fortunately for him, he didn’t go with them because he had become born again. He was going in the wrong direction, but he came across the light of God, and God saved him from destruction.
Beloved, if you are going in the wrong direction in your life right now, I pray that the light of God will stop you. I pray that God will intercept and redirect you for His glory, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points
- Lord, shine Your light into every area of my life where I have unknowingly drifted from Your path, and draw me gently back to Your perfect will.
- Father, just as You intercepted Saul on the road to Damascus, intercept every plan I am carrying that does not align with heaven's agenda for my life.
- God, I pray for anyone I love who is walking in a dangerous or destructive direction, send a divine encounter across their path before it is too late.
- Holy Spirit, make me sensitive enough to recognize when You are redirecting me, and give me the humility to yield without resistance.
- Lord, break the power of every demonic assignment that has been engineered to derail my destiny, just as You set Mary Magdalene completely free.
- Father, let the light of Your presence be so strong around me that darkness cannot find a foothold in any decision I make this season.
- God, I ask that You redeem the time I have lost walking in the wrong direction, and accelerate the fulfilment of Your purpose in my life.
- Lord, let my story of redirection become a testimony that points others toward You, use every twist in my journey for Your glory.
Declarations
- I am not too far gone, God's hand reaches every road I have walked, and His grace meets me right where I stand.
- My steps are being redirected by the living God; every path that leads to destruction is closing before me, and the way of peace is opening.
- No assignment of the enemy over my destiny shall stand, because the One who redirected Saul and restored Mary Magdalene is actively working on my behalf.
- I will not miss my divine moment of encounter, my heart is open, and I receive God's course correction with faith and gratitude today.
- The light of God goes before me, and I walk forward with confidence knowing that even my wrong turns are being woven into a story of His faithfulness.
Reflection
Take a quiet moment today and honestly ask yourself: is there any area of your life, a relationship, a habit, a career choice, a lingering attitude, where you have felt an unsettled check in your spirit? That unease may not be anxiety; it may be invitation. God rarely redirects loudly before He redirects gently. Respond to the gentle nudge before it has to become a blinding light on the road.
