If mountains answer to Him, so does every towering problem in your path. Topic: Before the Mountains

Bible reading: Daniel 3:14-30 (KJV)
Memory verse: Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. – Psalm 90:2 (KJV)
There is no limit to God’s power. Mark 11:22-24 says that if you have faith, you can speak to a mountain, and it will move. Today’s memory verse also tells us that before the mountains were brought forth, God was. Our God is eternal, and there is no searching of His understanding. If you have faith in the One who was there even before mountains were formed, He can uproot any challenge that poses as a mountain in your life.
There are, however, times when you speak to a mountain in your life, and it doesn’t seem to move. This is because God knows that you can climb that mountain and emerge victorious. God will not place a mountain which you cannot climb before you. When you read the book of Job, you will see that long before Job’s problems came, God already knew that he would overcome them.
Beloved, God will not make you go through a challenge you cannot overcome. (1 Corinthians 10:13) says: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” If God allows a mountain to stand in your path, it is because you are about to experience a greater level of glory. For example, it is expected that students will typically be assessed before they are promoted to a higher level or class. In today’s Bible reading, the three Hebrew boys passed their test by refusing to bow down to the golden image, even at the risk of being burned to death, and God promoted them. Job 42:12-16 also tells us how God promoted Job after his ordeal. I am sure that the devil would have wished he had left Job alone, as the latter part of his life was more glorious than his beginning.
Child of God, if God allows you to face a mountain, it is because He wants to move you to the next phase of your life after you overcome that mountain. No matter the size or height of the mountain standing before you today, ask God to help you to surmount it, and you will emerge victorious in the end. I decree that you shall overcome all mountains standing before you today, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points
- Lord, remind my heart every morning that You existed before my problems did, and that nothing in my life takes You by surprise.
- Father, where I have mistaken a God-permitted test for abandonment, grant me clarity and renewed trust in Your perfect timing.
- Give me the courageous faith of the three Hebrew boys, a faith that stands firm even when the furnace of my circumstances is heated seven times hotter.
- Holy Spirit, show me the 'way of escape' You have already prepared in every situation that currently feels overwhelming to me.
- Lord, I ask that You convert every mountain in my life into a testimony that glorifies Your name and strengthens the faith of those watching.
- Father, where I have been tempted to cut deals with compromise just to avoid the fire, forgive me and renew a spirit of integrity within me.
- God, let the latter chapters of my life shine more brightly than the early ones, just as You restored and multiplied Job's story.
- Lord, I intercede for every believer facing a crushing trial today, meet them in the fire and let them feel Your presence in the middle of it.
Declarations
- I declare that the God who predates every mountain in creation is fully capable of handling every obstacle I face today.
- I am not a victim of my circumstances; I am a student being prepared for a greater level of glory, and I will pass this test.
- No trial I encounter is beyond what God has already equipped me to bear, His faithfulness is my guarantee.
- I choose to stand without bowing, trusting that the same God who walked with the Hebrew boys in the furnace walks with me now.
- My story does not end in the trial; it ends in promotion, because the God of Job is the God of my life.
Reflection
Take a quiet moment today and identify the one challenge you have secretly started to believe God cannot or will not move. Write it down, then beside it write Psalm 90:2, let the antiquity of God’s existence dwarf the age of your problem. Commit to taking one obedient step through that difficulty today, trusting that your promotion is already waiting on the other side of your faithfulness.
