Let the Wickedness of the Wicked Come to an End – A Year-End Prayer

Standing in Prayer as 2024 Comes to a Close

As the year draws to an end, it is a sacred time for reflection, gratitude, and seeking God’s intervention for unresolved challenges. While we celebrate the victories of the year, we must also confront the battles we have faced—financial struggles, attacks on our health, family, or progress—and declare an end to every form of wickedness that has stood against us. Psalm 7:9 (NIV) reminds us, “Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous.”

This prayer is inspired by a prayer of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and carries the authority of God’s Word. It is a prayer of warfare and faith, asking God to uproot every plan of the enemy and establish His blessings over our lives. As we approach the new year, let us boldly declare the end of every wicked scheme against our destiny, trusting in God’s justice and power.

Prayer: Let the Wickedness of the Wicked Come to an End

Heavenly Father,
As we stand at the threshold of 2024’s end, I come before You in the name of Jesus, declaring Your power and sovereignty over all wickedness that has risen against me.

Lord, Your Word says, “Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; for You, the righteous God, test hearts and minds” (Psalm 7:9, NIV). Today, I stand on this promise, asking You to bring every plan of wickedness to an end.

I decree that every wickedness against my business, finances, marriage, children, and loved ones is nullified in Jesus’ name. Every force working against the works of my hands, my investments, and my progress is broken by Your power. Father, I call upon Your justice to uproot every evil scheme and establish righteousness in every area of my life.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for being my defender. I trust in Your mighty hand to deliver me from all evil and to bless the works of my hands as the new year approaches.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
