Devotional – The Door That Cannot Be Shut

There are moments in life when you stand at a threshold, aware that something significant lies just beyond your reach, yet everything within you hesitates.

You see the invitation, but fear whispers that you are unqualified. You sense the opportunity, but doubt suggests it might close before you arrive.

This is where the words of Revelation 3:8 become deeply personal: “Look, I have placed before you an open door that no one can close because you have but little strength; yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”

God does not place open doors before the strong, the talented, or the self-sufficient. He sets them before those who have little strength yet have remained faithful.

This is not a door you earned by performance or deserved through merit. This is a door opened by divine favor, and no human hand, no spiritual opposition, no internal fear can shut what God has opened for you.

The church in Philadelphia had little earthly power, yet they possessed something far greater: they kept God’s Word and refused to deny His name under pressure.
