Devotional – When God Restores What You Thought Was Gone Forever
There are losses you can explain — and losses you cannot.
Some things slip through your fingers.
Some things are stolen.
Some things die silently while you continue moving.
But Joel 2:25–26 (NIV) carries one of the most powerful promises in Scripture:
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten… You will have plenty to eat until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord… Never again will my people be shamed.”
God does not only restore — He restores with compensation.
He does not only return what was lost — He wipes away the shame attached to the loss.
When God restores, He does it in a way that silences every mockery and every memory of defeat.
You may not know how the months unfolded.
You may feel like you lost time, opportunity, resources, relationships, or strength.
But restoration is not based on what you can rebuild —
it is based on what God can resurrect.
He restores years.
He restores joy.
He restores dignity.
He restores honor.
And He does it in a way that makes you lift your hands and say:
“Only God could have done this.”
Today’s prayer is not just for recovery — it is for divine repayment.
A testimony that wipes away every trace of shame.

Restoration is not about getting back what you lost —
it is about receiving what only God can give.
He restores years, not moments.
He restores honour, not just possessions.
Shame is a spiritual weight, but restoration is a spiritual lifting.
When God restores, He does it in a way that makes your story shine again.
