Visa approved after twenty-two years of waiting

Testimony from Rudo 🇬🇧 United Kingdom Member since 2025 Other Good Report 29 September 2026

Power of waiting.

After 7 visa applications were refused since 2004, we finally get to say: Gogo Matewe, my mum, is here with us in England 🙏🏽❤️
What a journey of waiting, praying, disappointment and trusting God. For 22 years, we held on to hope, and now we are living the answer to those prayers.
God has truly done it! 😭🙌🏽
“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy.” — Psalm 126:5
Please help me to welcome, Gogo Matewe. ❤️🇬🇧
Our prayers have finally become a testimony! 🙏🏽

Praise God with Rudo — He hears and He answers.

God's promise never fails. For those who wait upon the Lord, he would renew their strength. They would mount up with wings like eagles they would run and not weary.

God, we stand here undone — twenty-two years of refused applications, of tears sown into the ground of prayer, and You did not let a single one of those tears fall without counting it. Seven times the door was shut, and seven times Rudo and her family came back to You. Tonight Gogo Matewe is in England, and that is Your doing alone. "Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning." (Psalm 30:5, ESV) Lord, let this reunion be every bit as sweet as the wait was long. Knit this family together in ways only You can, and guard Gogo Matewe's health and peace as she settles into this new chapter. Finish beautifully what You have begun.

Rudo, the faith that held on through two decades of disappointment — that is a treasure. May every answered prayer make the next season of trust a little easier to walk.
