2 Peter 1:4: God’s Great and Precious Promises

God’s great and precious promises are not abstract comfort. They are covenant weapons forged for your specific battle. 2 Peter 1:4 says it plainly: “By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” This is not poetry. This is your contract with God, written in blood and sealed by resurrection power.

The word “exceedingly” in the original Greek means beyond measure, beyond human estimation. These promises cannot be countered by your enemy. They cannot be delayed by your circumstance. They are backed by the character of God Himself and the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Step 3: Identify three specific promises God has spoken over your life. Write them down. Find the scripture that backs each one. Pray them back to God daily.
