Shelter in the Shadow of the Almighty

Today's Scripture

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1, ESV)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Before you pray, set the day down. Confess anything that created distance between you and God today. Forgive anyone who added to the weight you are carrying. Now lift your eyes, not to the ceiling but to the One who is already looking at you with perfect steadiness.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with thanksgiving. You are Most High, and Your shelter is real. I worship You as the Almighty, the One whose shadow is not darkness but safety.

Prayer for the Night

Father, as this day closes with its weight still on my shoulders, let me abide in the shadow of the Almighty and find the shelter that my own striving never could, in Jesus' name. Guard my mind through the night with the peace that passes all understanding, as You promised in Philippians 4:7.

Interceding for Others

Lord, I bring before You every person who is also ending this day with weight on their shoulders. Lead them under Your shelter tonight. Let the shadow of the Almighty fall over the exhausted, the grieving, and the ones who have nearly stopped hoping.
