Walking in the Light Together

Today's Scripture

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7, ESV)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Still your heart before you pray. Release the week: its weight, its unfinished edges, its small victories and its quiet failures. You are not presenting a report to God. You are returning to a Father who already walked every step beside you. Come with an open hand.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with gratitude at the close of this week. You are light, and in You there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5, ESV). I enter Your presence through the blood of Jesus, with a cleansed conscience and a thankful heart.

Prayer for the Night

Father, as this week draws toward its close, I trust that every step I have walked in the light of Your Word has kept me in fellowship with You and with others, in Jesus' name. You promised that walking in the light means walking in connection, and I receive that promise tonight.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift every person I am in fellowship with, family, friends, brothers and sisters in faith. Where any relationship grew strained this week, let Your light do its healing work.
