Seeing What God Sees

Today's Scripture

2 Kings 6:17 (NLT): "Then Elisha prayed, 'O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!' And the Lord opened the young man's eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire."

Evening Spiritual Posture

Before praying, still yourself. Breathe slowly. Confess any anxiety you have held onto today as if it were yours alone to carry. Hand it to the Lord. Come now not as someone scrambling beneath trouble, but as someone seated with Christ above it (Ephesians 2:6, NIV).

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with a grateful heart. You are the Lord of hosts, and the armies of heaven answer to You. I worship You tonight not because my circumstances are resolved, but because You are unchanged and unmatched.

Prayer for the Night

Lord, as I lay down tonight, open my eyes the way You opened the eyes of Elisha's servant. Pull back every veil of fear, confusion, and unbelief that has narrowed my vision. Let me see the heavenly forces surrounding me, because it is written that You encircle those who fear You (Psalm 34:7, NIV).

Interceding for Others

Father, I bring before You every person I know who is overwhelmed tonight, seeing only the army at the gate and not the fire on the mountain. Open their eyes. Let revelation, not fear, be the lens through which they see their lives.
