Stillness and the Open Door

Today's Scripture

"I know your works. Look, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. You have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name." (Revelation 3:8, CSB)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Before you speak a word, still your body and let your breath slow. Release the week from your hands. You are not presenting a report to God tonight; you are returning to your Father. Come with thanksgiving, come with honesty, and come with the confidence that you are already welcomed.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I enter this moment with gratitude. You have been present in every hour of this week, seen and unseen, and I worship You for it. I come not in my own strength but in the name of Jesus, who has opened the way to You completely (Hebrews 10:19-20, NIV).

Prayer for the Night

Lord, as this day closes, seal in me the peace that passes understanding, guarding my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, NIV). Let no anxious thought replay the week. Let no fear reopen what You have resolved.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift before You everyone finishing this week in fear, in grief, or in confusion about the door in front of them. Remind them that You have not closed what they fear is closing, and You have not forgotten a single name.
