A Soul at Rest in God

Today's Scripture

"But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me." (Psalm 131:2, ESV)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Before praying, sit still for a moment. Unclench your hands. Let your shoulders drop. Breathe. You are not approaching a throne room where you must perform. You are coming to a Father who already knows, already holds, and already loves.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You tonight with a heart that is still learning to be still. I thank You that You do not require me to arrive composed. You receive me exactly as I am.

Prayer for the Night

Lord, still my soul tonight like a weaned child at rest, quieted, surrendered, and no longer striving, trusting that You hold all I have given You, in Jesus' name. I release every outcome I have been gripping. It is Yours.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift every person tonight who cannot quiet the noise inside. You are the same God who calmed the storm with a word (Mark 4:39, NIV). Speak peace to them now.
