Gratitude in the Crisis

Today's Scripture

"When Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went into his house. The windows in his upstairs room opened toward Jerusalem, and three times a day he got down on his knees, prayed, and gave thanks to his God, just as he had done before." (Daniel 6:10, CSB)

Evening Spiritual Posture

I pause at the close of this day and turn my heart fully toward You, Lord. I release every anxious thought and lay my burdens down at Your feet, trusting that You are near. I come not in my own strength but in the name of Jesus, who has already made a way.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I enter Your presence tonight with a grateful heart, even when gratitude costs something. You are worthy of praise in every season, in the resolved and the unresolved alike. I worship You not because everything is settled, but because You are.

Prayer for the Night

Lord, like Daniel who knelt and gave thanks even in crisis, I bring my pressing needs before You tonight with gratitude as my posture and trust as my foundation, in Jesus' name.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift before You those who are in the middle of a crisis tonight, those whose faith is being tested by decrees they did not choose. Strengthen them to kneel, to give thanks, and to keep the window open toward You. Let them know they are not alone in the den.
