Entering His Courts with Thanksgiving

Today's Scripture

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him; bless his name." (Psalm 100:4, ESV)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Before bringing any petition, still your heart. Confess anything that has created distance today, receive His forgiveness freely given through Christ, and hand Him the cares that tempt you to worry. You are not approaching a distant God.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I enter Your courts this evening with thanksgiving. You are good, Your steadfast love endures forever, and Your faithfulness reaches to all generations. Psalm 100:5, ESV. I bless Your name before I bring a single need, because You are worthy of praise before I utter a word.

Prayer for the Night

Lord, I lay every unresolved need at Your feet right now. I do not lay them down because I have stopped caring. I lay them down because You care far more than I do, and You are able to do far more than I can ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20, NIV.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift the people on my heart tonight. Those who are carrying burdens heavier than they can speak. Those who do not yet know how to enter Your courts because no one has shown them the gate.
