Evening Spiritual Posture

Before you bring the burden, bring yourself. Breathe slowly. Thank God that you are in His presence right now, not because you have earned it but because Jesus opened the way (Hebrews 10:19-20, NIV). Release the noise of the day.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You tonight with a grateful heart. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, and I worship You for that (Hebrews 13:8, NKJV). Every good and perfect gift flows from You, the Father of lights in whom there is no shadow of turning (James 1:17, NKJV).

Prayer for the Night

Lord, guard my heart and mind tonight through Christ Jesus, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, stand watch over me while I sleep (Philippians 4:7, NIV). I receive the gift You give to Your beloved even in rest (Psalm 127:2, NKJV).

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift before You every person tonight who is carrying a burden they have nearly grown tired of carrying. Remind them that Your word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11, NKJV) and that You are not slow concerning Your promises (2 Peter 3:9, NKJV).
