Casting Every Weight on God

Today's Scripture

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22, ESV)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Father, I come to You at the close of this day with a grateful and honest heart. I confess what needs confessing. I receive Your forgiveness and I extend it to anyone who has wronged me today.

Entering God's Presence

Lord, You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and I enter Your presence tonight with thanksgiving. You were present in every hour of this day, and You are present now. I worship You not for what You do but for who You are: faithful, unchanging, and good.

Prayer for the Night

Father, I bring my whole day before You now, its weight, its worries, its unfinished places, and I cast it all onto Your shoulders, for You will sustain me, in Jesus' name. Your Word in Psalm 55:22 is my anchor tonight. I do not need every question answered before I sleep.

Interceding for Others

Lord, I lift before You every person who is lying down tonight under a weight they do not know how to release. Meet them where they are. Let Your sustaining grace reach the ones who are too tired to pray much tonight.

Let prayer become daily.
