Resting in Your Adoption

Today's Scripture

"He predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will." Ephesians 1:5 (ESV)

Evening Spiritual Posture

Before you pray, still yourself. You are not approaching a courtroom. You are returning to a Father who chose you before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4, ESV). Breathe out the performance. Breathe in the belonging.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You tonight not as someone who earned this moment, but as someone You called Your own before time began. Thank You that the ground I stand on is Your grace, not my record.

Prayer for the Night

Lord, as this day closes, I receive the rest You give to those who are Yours. Your Word says You grant sleep to those You love (Psalm 127:2, ESV). I receive that gift tonight as a child receives what their Father freely gives.

Interceding for Others

Father, I bring before You those who went through this day striving to earn what You have already given freely. Let Your Spirit whisper adoption, not performance, over them tonight.
