Laying Down the Weight and Receiving God’s Rest

Today's Scripture

"Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28-30, CSB)

Daily Spiritual Posture

Before you pray, take one slow breath and let your shoulders drop. You are not approaching a taskmaster. You are coming to Jesus, who already knows the full weight of your life and is not troubled by it. Enter with an open hand, not a clenched fist.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with thanksgiving, because You are the God who draws near to the weary. I worship You as the God of all comfort, the One who gives rest to those who stop striving and simply come (2 Corinthians 1:3, NIV).

Prayer of the Day

Lord Jesus, I come to You carrying the full weight of my life, my labor, my weariness, my striving, and I cast it all before You now, receiving the rest only You can give.

Interceding for Others

Lord, I bring before You everyone I know who is running on empty today. Let this same invitation, "Come to Me," reach their hearts with fresh power. Let them hear Your voice above the noise of their burdens (Matthew 11:28, CSB).
