Be Strong, Do the Work

Today's Scripture

"Then David said to Solomon his son, 'Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.'" (1 Chronicles 28:20, ESV)

Daily Spiritual Posture

Enter today with a still heart. Lay down the weight of yesterday's progress report. You are not praying from a place of shortage; you are praying from a place of covenant. God has already committed Himself to see His word over your life through to completion.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with gratitude, not performance. You are the God who finishes what He begins, and I worship You for that steadiness. I confess every place I have leaned on my own understanding rather than Your faithfulness, and I receive the cleansing You freely give (1 John 1:9, ESV).

Prayer of the Day

Lord, let the same charge David gave Solomon settle deep in my spirit today. Let "be strong, be courageous, and do the work" move from words I have heard to a conviction I carry in my bones.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift everyone today who is standing at the edge of something You called them to build, feeling the gap between vision and reality. Speak David's charge over them as clearly as You are speaking it to me. Let courage rise where discouragement has settled.

Let prayer become daily.
