The Strength You Already Have

Today's Scripture

"The Lord turned to him and said, 'Go in the strength you have and deliver Israel from the grasp of Midian. Am I not sending you?'" (Judges 6:14, CSB)

Daily Spiritual Posture

Enter this prayer from your seat in Christ, not from the floor of your fear. You are not approaching God as someone waiting to be equipped. You are approaching as someone already sent, already upheld, already commissioned by the One whose word never fails.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You with thanksgiving, because Your mercies are new this morning and Your faithfulness is great (Lamentations 3:23, CSB). I lay down every anxious thought and cast my cares on You, knowing You care for me (1 Peter 5:7, NIV).

Prayer of the Day

Lord, just as You told Gideon to go in the strength he already had, remind me today that Your word to me is sufficient and grant me the courage to move on it now. You did not ask Gideon to wait until fear was gone. You asked him to go because You were sending him.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift every person today who is hiding in a winepress, doing small things in the shadow of a large fear. Speak to them as You spoke to Gideon. Let them hear their true name from Your mouth.

Let prayer become daily.
