Casting Your Burden and Finding Peace

Today's Scripture

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22, ESV)

Daily Spiritual Posture

Before you pray, take one slow breath and acknowledge that you are not standing alone. You are seated with Christ far above every pressure that has followed you into this morning (Ephesians 2:6, ESV). You do not pray upward from the floor of your anxiety. You pray downward from a throne.

Entering God's Presence

Father, I come to You this morning with a grateful heart, thankful that Your mercies are new today (Lamentations 3:22-23, CSB). I clear the way through confession: wherever I have trusted my own worrying over Your Word, forgive me. I receive Your cleansing now.

Prayer of the Day

Lord, instead of carrying this burden another day in anxious silence, I cast it onto You again this morning. Your Word commands it and Your character makes it safe: "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you" (Psalm 55:22, ESV). I take You at that word right now.

Interceding for Others

Father, I lift every person reading this who is silently crushed under something they have not said out loud. You know every name, every weight, every sleepless hour. Sustain them today as You have promised.
