Mother's severe essential tremor and declining health
Imagine if……. you had only one parent living, your mother. Now imagine that she has an E.T. (essential tremor) that causes her to violently shake every single day 24/7 with no lapses. You watch your mom deteriorate right before your very eyes, it’s heartbreaking and more so because there is nothing that you can do to “fix” the condition, pull her out of her depression or restore her faith that has slowly started to weaken.
The person I refer to is my elderly mother, she has been suffering with an ET and it has become so severe that she can’t cook, use a key to lock/unlock anything, dial a telephone, use a remote control, use a keyboard of any type, cannot write anything at all, can’t open a jar, this is breaking my heart to read this as I type but so much worse to see each day! My mom hasn’t been able to eat with utensils because of this! She must use a straw to drink and lately that’s been difficult to say the least … she gets stabbed with the straw and then has a fat lip or worse. She can’t even use an electric can opener because of the severe shaking and although it doesn’t leave sharp edges will still get cut up!
I can’t begin to tell you how this has affected my mother. It began with her just breaking down, sobbing and giving up. Then it was almost as if she resigned herself to it all. Then came the scariest….. depression, feeling useless, like a burden. She has drastically lost weight and feels as if going through all she does because of the tremor, to eat isn’t worth the hassle, embarrassment. She hasn’t been out to eat anywhere and will not so much as consider eating in front of anyone. Mom keeps saying that she just wants to be able to sew again before she dies! You see my mother was a seamstress her whole life and her passion is sewing, that’s been nothing but a memory for a long, long time.
PLEASE, please pray for a genuine miracle blessing for the lord to remove this horrible, life/light snuffing tremor from her, that she will be healed and her faith restored.
Faith can be so difficult to keep in this life and though I don’t know much I do know beyond any and all doubt that with enough sincere prayer miracles do happen, we are heard and will have our prayers answered. Faith and belief are key. Sorry this is so long but please join me in praying for this beautiful miracle, help me to restore my mother’s faith, health and let’s show the world once and for all what our Lord Jesus Christ can do when we band together and pray for a common goal.
